...and what that lesson is depends upon ones perspective: identification with the dog or the pitcher. Think about that one! ;)
That's Good. I don't think the pitcher has much to worry about...Once the ball leaves his hand It will be between the dog, the catcher, and the batter. My question is "Is there an owner to the dog that is unseen?"
sure, there's an owner, but she's currently wrestling in the stands with 3 small children who are star wars fighting and putting someone else's cigarette butt in her mouth, and hasn't noticed the "do something about your dog" stare from the others. tolerance. i think that's the lesson. ;)
Well, the cartoon seems to indicate that the pitcher "sees" the dog. Perhaps it's because I'm a fanatic for Gary Larsen's "The Far Side," but I imagine that the pitcher knows what's about to happen and is deciding whether or not to throw the pitch anyway, just for the sadistic pleasure of seeing a flying dog.
That is SO bad!
Suzanne's comment just about sent me out of my chair! You go girl! Taylor, I'm not sure that I can read your blog too often...I only read like 2 entries and my 1/2 a brain cell went into overdrive and the transmission fell out! Very deep and thought provoking. I'm having a thought..no.. it's just that final puff of smoke from the brokendown transmission!!!!
I dunno.. but if he decides to throw the ball.. I'm calling PETA ;)
When are you going to update? It has been over two months now.
